What to Expect
As chiropractors in Arlington we want all of our patients to feel immediately at home when they walk in the door. Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important for you to feel comfortable right from the start.
Your First Visit to Our Arlington Practice
On your first visit we will focus on finding the source of your problems. First we will have you fill out paper work that describes your current condition and any pertinent previous history. Then you will sit down with the doctor and spend time talking about your condition, when it started, how it affects you and any other pertinent health issues.
After that a complete spinal examination will be performed. We will check your range of motion, evaluate your posture, perform multiple orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic tests.
X-rays of your spine will also be performed on the first visit if necessary.
When we are finished with this day we should know exactly if your condition can be helped with chiropractic care.

Your Second Visit to Our Arlington Practice
Your second visit will consist of a spinal adjustment and a report of findings. The report of findings is where Dr. Ernst will review with you your x-rays and physical exam findings. He will also let you know what your treatment recommendations will be. Because of the amount of information to review, you can expect to be in the office for approximately 30 minutes.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.
For a typical office visit you can plan on being in and out of the office in 15 minutes or less. Now that the foundation for your care has been laid, the routine office visits are relatively simple. Dr. Ernst will ask you about your progress on each and every visit. He will also perform two or three chiropractic tests and then adjust you.
